songs for the soul

A friend showed me this music video a few days ago and since then I have not been able to get the song out of my head.  Not only is the song very compelling, the stop-motion video is simply amazing.  Probably one of the best done I've seen.

 It reminds me of what music is about.  Something that soothes the soul, that makes some sort of connection with your inner being.  If only every song was like this.

It reminds me of being lost in a world that is too large - one where you don't feel like you belong - but realize that it's really not that bad.  Being just another number isn't the worst thing in the world.  To me it seems to blur the line between the significance your personal life has and the significance it has within the greater realm of society.  And it bounces back and forth from knowing who you are personally to getting lost in the sea of people in the universe.  

Very well written and composed song. The video is just the icing on the cake.
